This item is recommended to be installed via the included hardware into studs. Installing into a door would be against intended install and would void manufacturer warranty; this would be considered a custom installation at the ability, risk and liability of the installer.?
What is the diameter of the center pole, the paiece between the backplate and the front disc?A
The diameter of the center pole is 0.8".?
Can this hook be installed into shower tile?A
This product is intended to be mounted into studs into the wall and will come with the necessary mounting materials to do so; it will be mounted via two screws. This item does have the capability to be installed on tile, however, it is recommended to speak about the install with your contractor prior to understand the risks of drilling into tile and obtaining any other necessary install materials.?

These are mounted via a mounting plate and installed with the included 2 screws and locked into place via a set screw; it is recommended to be mounted into studs.
