The top layer does not have any drains on it and it is solid. The dimensions of the item is 4.33" W x 2.76" D x 1.18" H.

While the item is made of thermoplastic resins, if dropped, it can still sustain damages, but may not be as easily broken or cracked as glass is.

Does this product have a paper lining that says Gedy that should be removed before using? I do not see that in the images on your site.

This item does not have a paper lining; it is possible the Gedy instructions are referencing packaging materials to protect the item from damages during shipment. The soap dish will be composed of thermoplastic resins.
