Will it also dispense shampoo and conditioners? (eg thicker product than handsoap)

This item is intended for soap dispensing. While some lotions may have to ability to be dispensed, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee success with pumping thicker liquids.

are there bumpers on the bottom to protect the sink top?

No, there are not bumpers on the bottom of this soap dispenser. Please see attached photo of the underside of this dispenser. **Please note: the finish shown may differ from the finish selected.
