Yes, the arms open completely to both sides individually, so it will be flush with the mounting plate, which is 0.5" deep.?
Are the arms fixed in place, or is the angle adjustable?A
The arms are able to be adjusted independently, and can swivel from side to side.?
Does this swivel 180 degrees?A
Unfortunately, the arms do not swivel 180 degrees. Independently the arms would move approximately 150-160 degrees.?

The arms are capable to move individually left to right, creating a swivel.
