The size of the actual brackets that hold the towel bar up is 1 1/4" H x 1 3/8" L, the size of the escutcheon plates are 1 3/4" H x 1 3/4" L.?
Dimensions of wall bracket?A
The wall bracket is 1 1/4" x 1 3/8". The actual wall plate cover will be 1.75" x 1.75". Please see attached photo for visual breakdown.

This item is installed via screws and is recommended to be installed into studs.Once the mounting plate is installed via these screws, the square mounting brackets will be secured into place on such plate via a set screw.
