Unfortunately, the wire does come from the back of the mirror head and cannot be hidden. The switch will be on the mirror.?

Yes, the mirror can change heights from the arm rail, in addition to left and right with the arms coming from the slide rail, as well as the mirror head can tilt up and down.?

This will be a wired mirror with a two prong plug in chord.
