What is the distance of the holes in the back plate. We have a previous mount that is leaving holes 1 1/2" apart which we need to hide behind this plate.A
The distance between the holes on the back plate is 3/4", while the escutcheon itself is 2" in diameter.?

This is mounted via a mounting plate that is installed with two screws into proper wood backing and locked into place. Once secured, the mounting will be sturdy.?
Our wall is sheet rock covered by wallpaper. We had a toilet paper holder mounted which was secured by a mount inside a round hole in the sheet rock. How does this holder attach. There is a circular hole in our wall that goes through the wall paper and the sheet rock and I do not not how to reinstall a replacement that fits in and covers the hole and ends up being firmly attached. Is this device designed to be installed in such a situation??A
