Like the heaviness of this holder, and it's good looking for our new bathrooms. Not installed yet, but hopefully by next week. I like the fact that it hugs the wall close.

It's a nice product except that the photo mis-represents the extension to the left of where it attaches -- because in reality, that piece is a bit longer. I like that it's very close to the wall.

Our wall is sheet rock covered by wallpaper. We had a toilet paper holder mounted which was secured by a mount inside a round hole in the sheet rock. How does this holder attach. There is a circular hole in our wall that goes through the wall paper and the sheet rock and I do not not how to reinstall a replacement that fits in and covers the hole and ends up being firmly attached. Is this device designed to be installed in such a situation??

This is mounted via a mounting plate that is installed with two screws into proper wood backing and locked into place. Once secured, the mounting will be sturdy.

Follow on to allen screw. If I want to mount this horizontally but in the other direction as shown, will the screw be visible?

This item is recommended to be installed as pictured by the manufacturer; as installation in any other manner will void manufacturer warranty. The item has the ability to be installed flipped, however, the product does contain a set screw to lock it in place once installed. As such, if installed this way, the set screw be visible on the top side of the toilet paper holder, rather than the underside.

Is this item one solid piece? Or would it be possible to create a two tone item by buying one in gold and one is chrome and swapping parts between the two?

This will be one solid piece. We do not recommend altering the product in anyway, however, this item is available in a chrome and gold finish, which can be selected in the drop down.

Does it hold the larger paper rolls?

This toilet paper has a depth of 2.8". Since toilet rolls are all different sizes and plys (thicknesses), this will be dependent on the rolls purchased.

Can this be mounted vertically?

There will not be a structural problem to mount this vertical, but there is a small allen screw that will be visible. When it is mounted as shown in the photo, the allen screw is not visible. If the toilet paper holder is mounted vertically, this screw may be visible.
