However, as toilet roll sizes vary by brand, we recommend testing your toilet roll on this holder prior to installing it, as installed items cannot be returned.

When in the standard/flat position, the distance from the wall to the bar is 2.5". The distance from the arm that holds the roll to the top of the unit is also 2.5".

While you can loosen the set screw to remove the arm. The arm only works with the opening on the right.?

Please see attached photo for how the bracket slides out of the toilet paper holder. To which this bracket is installed and the toilet paper holder slides in to lock and fully install the item.
