Is the 1/2" male end fixed or does it need to be tightened with grub screw/hex head onto 1/2" thread?A
The end of the tub spout does have a set screw that can be adjusted, but the male end would be considered mostly fixed.?
Is this spout a slip-fit (to fit over a 1/2" copper pipe)?A
No it is not a slip fit, it is a threaded NPT 1/2" male end, please see attached photo.

Is this product compatible with north american plumbing connections?A
This spout has standard US plumbing threading and sizing for installation.
