| This bath bar looks great. It has a clean and modern look. It is very lightweight which was what I was looking for but it could have been a little more substantial and would have been perfect. The main detraction is that the bar does not come out far enough to fold the towel over easily. It's a little tight. |

What is the dimension of the plate portion that mounts to the wall? I have to cover up an old porcelain tile towel bar.A
The chrome plates are slightly smaller in size from the color plated mounts. The dimensions of the chrome plate are 2 3/8" x 1 1/2". Attached it a diagram from the manufacturer on the ways to install this mounting plate.

Is the towel bar and flanges one piece or is the bar itself separate? And how does the flange attach to the mounting plate.A
They are one piece, and the flange attaches via a set screw to the mounting plates.?
How far apart are the mounting screws. Horizontal and vertical?A
On the back of each mounting plate, the mounting screws are 7/8" apart horizontal center to center, and 1 5/8" apart vertical center to center. Please see attached photo of the mounting plate in this collection and the dimensions in question.

can the towel bar be shortened ?A
We do not recommend altering the product, as it will void the limited 1 year manufacturer warranty. We do have similar towel bars that are a smaller size: Gedy 2821-35-13 or Gedy 6621-30-13.
