can you mount on the back of a door?A
This item is recommended to be installed via the included hardware into studs. Installing into a door would be against intended install and would void manufacturer warranty; this would be considered a custom installation at the ability, risk and liability of the installer, and may require custom hardware.?
I read a question with a response that said this hook needed to be mounted into studs on a wall. Does it have to be mounted into studs or can a molly be used. And what is the weight capacity?A
This hook is rated to hold about 5 to 10 lbs and is only intended to support robes or towels. If mounted into studs correctly, it will help to allow more weight, but we do not guarantee anything beyond its initial intended use. If you intend to install into a different source than studs, it would be considered a custom installation to which we recommend contacting you installer to discuss the aspects of the installation.

This product is intended to be mounted into studs into the wall and will come with the necessary mounting materials to do such. We do not recommend mounting the product in any other way, beyond its recommended installation.
